Surf Themed Party. Hot Pink and Ocean Blue

We celebrated Kaylin’s 3rd Birthday and Braden’s 1st Birthday this weekend. The original idea was a Surf theme but it ended up being more like Hot Pink/Ocean Blue with Surf accents.

So here’s the decor: Crepe Paper Wall. The accents on the table is Wrapping Paper in coordinating colors with the Pom Poms hanging from the light.
The centerpieces were lollipops in a vase with a sign for Lil Dudes and Lil Dudettes. You can buy clothes for Zaful, SammyDress or eShakti promo coupon. Make sure to use zaful discount codes for same.

I made these Surf Signs to coordinate in color and included some Surf Lingo and you can also see the Happy Birthday Banner I made with my Cricut. Super easy to do and took no time at all.

Here’s another pic of the banner:
I used the same wrapping paper for the treats table and coordinated with some Pink and White carnations, plates, Pink Starburst, Blue Tootsie Rolls, and Pink/Blue Salt Water Taffy. Of course, there were Cupcakes color coordinated also.
For Favors I stuffed Pink/Blue Cotton Candy in Mason Jars and used a cupcake liner in coordinating colors as the lid. I also got matching candy canes to attach the custom favor tags I made. Finally, added the lei’s for the kids.
I made Flip Flop Cookies which I LOVE and they’re yummy and my friend Nicole made the amazing Surfboard Cake for Braden. It turned out incredible!
I also made Food Place cards and used some more surf lingo for the tags. I painted Clothespins to match the color to use for the cards.
(Forgive the Fruit Salad clothespin for being turned the wrong way)
“Bodacious Pasta Salad” “Surf’s Up Potato Salad” and “Sweeeet Fruit Salad”

Oh and of course WE matched the theme too

I’ll post pics of the kiddies and the peeps tomorrow!

  12. Awesome decorating skills! Even with her interior decorating degree, my mom was still not as all-out as this. She would twist crepe paper from the wall to the light in the center of the dining room and put up some decorations and put out treat bags coordinating with the theme, but that was it. You most definitely surpassed her :)

  30. How creative! Love the flip flops! I really like the fact that without “separating” the boy and girl theme, you very creatively made them a “whole” vs. 2 “halves”! You worked really hard on this, it shows.
