DIY Boo Sign, a tutorial. Cheap & Easy

I don’t have much Halloween Decor so I figured it was time I make some! So, I came up with this
Super Easy DIY BOO Sign, Total Cost $3.00

  • Round Wood Pieces (Obviously, you can use any type of wood here, square, mix/match, anything goes)
  • 4 Pieces of Cardstock: I went with a Candy Corn Color Scheme. Because I’m a weirdo that actually LOVES Candy Corn.
  • Mod Podge
  • Black Ribbon
  • Sticker Embellishments (Optional)
  • Bag of Candy Corn. For…Inspiration :)
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Scissors
  • Black Acrylic Paint

I had everything on hand. I had these round wood pieces left over from hair bow holder projects and they cost about $.49 each. Then I grabbed some Candy Corn color Cardstock, yellow, orange, white, and then black for the letters.

Paint the edges of the wood black or whatever color you’re going for on your project

Once the paint is dry, trace out your circles on the cardstock and cut out your circles

Mod Podge your circles on to the top of the wood.
I Mod Podge the wood and the paper for a better seal. My Motto is “The More Mod Podge the better!”

I obviously missed a picture here so work with me.
I used my Cricut to cut out some 4.5 inch Letters: “B-O-O”
If you don’t have a cricut, you can easily print out some cool letters from your computer, trace them on the cardstock and cut them out. If you have good handwriting, you can even write the letters or paint them and be really fancy!

I got lucky at the craft store and found these awesome stickers in the Candy Corn color scheme, SCORE!

Take your black ribbon and cut about a 5 inch piece. Hot Glue the top and bottom of the ribbon to attach the letters.

It’s hanging on our wall and it literally cost less than $3.00 and took maybe 2 hours max.
Easy, Cute, Cheap…Just my style!
My phone actually took some better pictures so here is the final project!
