Check out my First Post on “How to Keep your Christmas Tree Alive” and we’ll go from there 😉
Here’s my secret: THE DOLLAR STORE IS YOUR BEST FRIEND!
Not only do they sell ornaments, home decor, garlands, bows, candles, etc.. but they make it so easy to make your own decorations. Just Google Dollar Store Holiday Crafts and tons of stuff will cme up.
Almost all of my Decor Crafts are Dollar Store Creations:
But seriously, a little goes a long way. I made these garland Red and Gold Trees for $2 each.
Next Up: Gifts!
Again, Christmas doesn’t have to cost a fortune, if you do it right. I’m
cheap a bargain shopper so I make sure I save as much as I can.
1) Start Shopping Early – Cuts down on costs majorly!
2) BLACK FRIDAY & CYBER MONDAY – I spent $40 at Kohls and bought all the toys for the kids….I Saved $78. It makes a difference. It’s a pain in the ass but it’s worth it.
3) Check Facebook Pages for the company you are shopping at for a DISCOUNT CODE! Use Save1.com (A portion of commission goes to fight child hunger!) Or use Retail Me Not to search out a code. I almost never pay full price this way.
Finally:Fun Activities without breaking the bank:
1) CHRISTMAS LIGHTS – Free
One of our favorite holiday traditions is driving around looking at Christmas lights. Christmas Light Finder is a great website to tell you the BEST houses and neighborhoods to visit. Check local websites also.
*Make some Hot Apple Cider, Popcorn, & M&M’s, and cruise around the coolest neighborhoods checking out who decked the halls the best. Kaylin asks to do this every night during the holidays and I am more than happy to oblige.
Christmas Movies are my FAVORITE! Here’s a list of ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas Schedule. Cost – FREE
Hope you enjoyed these tips. I have more on the way. #CHRISTMASFREAK 😉
