House Hunting Blues

I got the blues {Da na na na na} The house hunting blues {Da na na na na}

House Hunting is hard stuff! Dragging two kids in and out of houses for hours on end is not an easy task. Actually, it’s pretty torturous.We were so lucky with selling our house that multiple, over asking price offers were received right when it hit the market, we chose one and voila. Not as easy being a buyer in this market. Each open house has had anywhere from 40 to hundreds of families walking through. Everyone is looking for a piece of the SF Bay area real estate market and it’s making it quite hard to land a home. We’ve submitted a few offers and all have competed against other offers, all over asking price.

It’s hard to resist the frenzy of buying a house but we’re aching to have a family home. While our apartment is totally adequate, we just want to be settled. Starting a new job, new preschool, a new life, is a little difficult while living with half your stuff in boxes.

We’re submitting another offer today! Fingers and toesies are crossed :)

  2. Good luck! My fiancee and I have been looking for a house for 6 months in the Ann Arbor area of Michigan. We just put in an offer and had it accepted, we’re having our inspection on Saturday to see if the house is fit to move into. It took a long time to find our new home, and it was really hard! I hope and pray that you have a much easier time!
